About the Author Born a 70's baby to a struggling mother of three, living Brooklyn, N.Y.; Danard Wilson was the middle child who always had the ability to tell a good story. He started out a troubled youth who eventually became influenced by his peers like so many others who fell prey to the lure, Danard found himself caught up in some of the myths that urban hood legends evoke. Taking his experiences that was learned in the cruel streets of New York, Danard turned it into his true passion which is telling a good story. Through his hard-work and determination, Danard worked to hone his craft and fulfill his dream of bringing a story to the silver screen or another venue. One day while Danard was taking pictures and video at a community event, he ran into an old friend by the name June Miller who happened to be an urban author. After long phone conversations and a meeting, Wilson and Miller came up with an idea to shoot a short film as they wanted to see how people would respond. This short film was titled The Other Side of Brooklyn and has grown into one of the hottest web-series on YouTube
