Unseen Presence: Talking Leaf (Paperback)
Unseen Presence: This talking leaf calls to those of us who stepped into darkness alone and were overcome by a feeling that something, or someone, was there. . . This book summons those who have gazed into the horizon from a vista-a hill top, bluff or high rise building-and were stopped in a quiet moment of awe, questioning a feeling of some presence beyond themselves. . . Unseen Presence whispers to those who, while walking along an ocean shore, felt a moment of soothing tranquility...This book warms those, who while watching a campfire, have been mesmerized by the dance of flames...This talking leaf shares wisdom to those who, while walking alone in wilderness, have felt a serene stillness... Author Rocky Youngblut shares insights into breaking free from a formidable adversary-domesticated consciousness. He offers guidance in navigating the river of doubt and becoming receptive to the idea of the presence that is out there. A presence that is seemingly everywhere. A wilderness explorer who became an unlikely spiritual seeker, the author shares his healing and learning experiences on a journey not for the faint of heart-a journey that has taken him a lifetime. He offers to readers his talking leaf wisdom, concisely and with candor and courage. Unseen Presence urges each of us to walk a unique, beautiful, and consciousness-expanding path.
Rocky Youngblut turned away from working as a wildlife biologist, choosing to walk into the wilderness alone, to explore and learn from it. His discoveries led him to the life of a spiritual seeker. A life-long student of American History, its founding fathers, constitution, and Lincoln's War, Rocky was also influenced by being a follower of Jefferson. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Wildlife/Fisheries Management from California State University Humboldt (CSUH), and did post-graduate work in Hazardous Materials Management at UCR, University of California Riverside. Rocky holds dear three accomplishments that he hopes will endure as his legacy: The first and foremost is in being a foster father to his boys Joshua, Willie, Jason, and Toshi; secondly, developing his farm into a wildlife sanctuary which he is leaving to posterity; and finally, publishing the first of two manuscripts in which he seeks to describe the indescribable and awaken us to the presence that is beyond. It is Rocky's goal to inspire readers to become Seekers, so they may ultimately gain awareness of the Spiritual Presence as real. It is out there for all to see, to experience, and to hold.
