Bring Me That Horizon: There and back again - a mental health journey (Paperback)
There are choices in life. I have suffered from mental illness. This presents me with a choice. I can let my mental illness define me. Or, I can let it inspire me. Depression and anxiety stole my confidence. My self worth. My energy, my enthusiasm, my compassion. Well I'm taking them back. I'm taking them all back. You are not weak. You are not flawed. You are not broken. And you are not alone. I'm lucky, I had the opportunity to undergo therapy. But it does not end there. The fight against depression and anxiety is a daily battle. I share my stories in the hope that they resonate with someone who is struggling. Perhaps they can even help you. It's time to talk. It's time to change. Mental illness affects 1 in 4 of us. This is my story. Bring Me That Horizon - a collection of personal blogs and creative writing, charting my mental health journey as I battle depression and anxiety against the backdrop of becoming a father of twins, redundancy and the death of my Dad.
Married father of twin girls and a baby boy, and self appointed mental health avenger. Born in Hastings, now living in Sutton, Surrey, Scott Delonnette writes about his experience of, and recovery from, mental illness. Plus some other silliness besides.
